The HCG Diet Phase 2

Phase 2 of the HCG Diet is the REAL heart of the program. It is also known as the very low calorie diet or the 500 calorie diet because here, you only eat 500 calories or so a day. Phase 2 is both the hardest yet the most rewarding part of the HCG Diet. It usually lasts for a period of 3 to 6 weeks.

WHAT TO DO:

  • Continue having your HCG shot each morning before having your breakfast and after having your shower.

If you are using the HCG injections you may want to use around 125 ius to 150 ius dose. However, your dose may change from round to round and from person to person. If you are using the drops, you need to take them 3 to 4 times a day.

  • You follow the specific 500 to 800 calorie diet a day

The original HCG Diet protocol restricts every dieter not to exceed 500 calories each day. However, there are HCG Diet weight loss clinics which involve eating 800 calories each day. This is a matter of personal choice. Many dieters find that following the 500 calories is totally sufficient for them provided that they are using the right dose of the hormone. There are also a number of dieters who did well eating 800 calories each day and feeling even better at the end of the diet. So, which is which? It’s totally up to you. You can always start by eating only 500 calories a day. If you find that you really do struggle a lot even on the right dose, then you can up to a higher calorie and see how you do.

  • Weigh yourself every day

Weigh yourself every morning after using the bathroom and don’t forget to keep a daily record of your weight.

  • Vigorous exercise is not allowed

Vigorous exercise actually hinders your weight loss result. So, never do a workout during Phase 2 of the HCG Diet. Light exercises like walking for 10 to 20 minutes will do but never, ever do vigorous exercises.

  • Oil-based skin care products are a big NO

Use only products that are oil-free skin care because oil gets absorbed through the skin and this can slow down your weight loss process. Avoid lotions, moisturizers and oil-based make-ups. This doesn’t mean that you have to go around looking ugly. There are certainly many beauty products out there that work well with Phase 2.
