Your First Week with HCG Diet
You might be thinking of getting a new bikini for this summer or plan a trip to your hometown to see all your old friends and show off your beach body. All those are fun positive thoughts but don’t get too caught up thinking about the results without focusing on how you are going to get there. Below are some realistic expectations that you will encounter during your first week on the HCG Diet:
Expectation #1- Hunger Pains
Hunger pains are quite common during your first week with HCG Diet because your body is used with high fat, sugar and carb food intake. Usually, it peaks around 5th or 6th day of your diet with HCG but there are ways to deal with it. Expectation #2- Headache
You can experience headache but it won’t last for so long. Give it a day or two because your body is still adjusting to the transition. There are several ways to deal with a headache. Stay hydrated, get enough sleep and see to it that you have gorge properly to prevent carb withdrawal symptoms.
Expectation #3- Cheating
Cheating comes right before you would want to give up but cheating won’t do any good. Cheating will only mess up with your progress by making you gain weight. Though it’s really hard to stick with the protocol do not cheat but if you can’t really help it CHEAT PROPERLY.
Expectation #4- Mood changes
As your body adjusts to the protocol you will definitely feel different. You will go on a calorie withdrawal that will make you feel a little cranky. You’d be in a bad mood but that’s totally understandable since you are depriving your brain with the feel-good endorphins from eating all those comfort foods. These all go away after 5 to 7 days. Keep in mind that you will only be on the low calorie diet for a couple of days. So try to put on your happy pants and enjoy the fast weight loss.
Expectation #6- Urination and bowel problems
One of the biggest concerns during the HCG diet that most dieters mention is constipation. If you think you have constipation issues, ask yourself this question “Are you drinking enough water?” If not, then it’s time for you to do so to fix the issue.
Expectation #7- Good results
You will start to see results approximately on day 3 or 4 but it depends on how well you follow the protocol. You will ONLY see GOOD results if you are committed to the program.
