What to Eat on the HCG Diet Phase 2

Phase 2 of the HCG Diet substantially limit your calorie intake to 500 calories a day and sometimes 800 calories a day. Below are the ONLY foods you are allowed to eat on phase 2 of the HCG Diet.

WHAT TO EAT

HCG Diet protein options:

  • Shrimp
  • Lobster
  • Chicken breast (remove all fats and skin)
  • Bison
  • Whitefish which includes red snapper, sea bass, catfish, tilapia, flounder, halibut. Trout, orange roughy, burbot, whiting and pock
  • Canned tuna that’s packed in water
  • Crab (fresh crab and not just imitation)
  • Veal
  • The leanest beef ideally 95% fat-free which includes filet mignon and sirloin

One protein serving should be 100 grams or 3.5 ounces. There should be 2 servings of protein each day. Meats must be trimmed of all fats and weigh raw. Remember to cook you meat option without oil, butter and other forms of fats. You can also bake them, boil or sauté using non-stick cookware.

For protein replacement

  • 3 egg whites plus 1 whole egg
  • 100 grams of fat-free cottage cheese

HCG Diet vegetable options:

  • Chicory
  • Broccoli
  • Beet-greens
  • Spinach
  • Onion
  • Fennel
  • Green lettuce (bibb, Boston, iceberg)
  • Cabbage
  • Asparagus
  • Tomato
  • Cucumber
  • Chard
  • Celery
  • Red radishes

You can eat your vegetable serving until you are satisfied. You can eat your vegetables raw or cooked. If you prefer them cooked, avoid using oil, butter and other forms of fats. You can also steam them or sauté them in a non-stick pan. Remember that you are NOT allowed to mix your vegetable servings like mixing a cup of lettuce with few tomatoes. ONLY limit your vegetable serving to one kind. 

HCG Diet fruit options:

  • 1 orange
  • ½ grapefruit
  • 1 apple
  • A handful of strawberries (about 6 to 7 strawberries)

HCG Diet carb options:

  • 1 Grissini Stick without oil
  • 1 or 2 Melba toast (Flavored allowed are sea salt, roasted garlic, whole grain and original)

HCG Diet vegetable options:

  • Green tea
  • Bottled water
  • Coffee

Additional HCG Diet foods allowed:

  • 1 lemon a day
  • Mustard
  • 1 tablespoon of milk a day
  • Healthy soy sauce substitute  like Braggs liquid amino
  • Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Natural sweetener like Stevia
  • Natural herbs and spices (no sugar, starches and fillers allowed)

REMEMBER

Items NOT mentioned on the list are NOT ALLOWED on Phase 2 of the HCG Diet.
