Making your way to the grocery store to shop for your HCG Diet recipes can be a bit harder than can imagine. Temptations are everywhere. They’re all around the corner of every grocery store but with a few strategies we can guarantee that your shopping will go well. To make your shopping easier we’ve compiled some shopping tips to make your trip to the grocery store quite easy.  The shopping tips and strategies will not only help you stay away from temptations but will also help you save money.

  • Be familiar with the HCG Diet protocol

Do not go shopping if you aren’t familiar with the protocol by heart. The HCG Diet protocol will help you know the foods allowed and not allowed on the diet and what foods to gorge with at loading days. Knowing exactly what you need do during the diet will prevent future failures and weight gain.

  • Buy your weekly food all at once

Once you know what you need for the week buy them all at once so you won’t have to go back to the grocery store every time you miss something out. This will prevent you from purchasing goods that may stop your weight loss. This will also help you save time and energy so you can focus more on your weight loss.

  • Purchase what you need on the HCG diet separately from your household grocery.

When you go grocery shopping, do it separately from your household grocery. Have your own list during grocery shopping. Do not buy processed foods because this will only stop your weight loss. Avoid purchasing canned vegetables or dried fruits because they are loaded with sugar and preservatives.

  • Buy only what you need for the diet

  • Go organic if possible

Give yourself a break from all those chemicals from processed foods you’ve been eating for decades. Buy whole organic food items like freshly picked fruits and vegetables and other organic products like meat. Organic products are free from toxic chemicals that may interfere with the HCG in your system. If the season is right, go to the local farmers market where you can find a great assortment of veggies, fruits and even meat. Prices of commodities there are way cheaper than the local grocery store. They are even fresh.

  • Check the expiration date

Be mindful of the expiration date. Check the food labels of each food item you are purchasing. Learn about the expiration dates of different veggies and fruits and plan your purchase accordingly. In most cases, you’ll be able to buy a week’s worth of veggies and fruits without having to worry too much about them going bad. For instance, oranges may last a lot longer than strawberries. So, you need to use your strawberries within the week. Knowing this prevents you from buying too much and wastes anything.

  • Use fresh herbs and spices

You’ll find an array of them both organic and inorganic in the produce section. This will take away your temptation of going down the baking aisle.

Phase 2 of the HCG Diet is the most restrictive phase. This phase pretty much requires you to cook at home while phase 3 has much more leeway. The strictest shopping rules mainly apply to the very low calorie diet phase.
