Following the HCG Diet protocol is very important so you can get the best losses. This includes having the correct food portion sizes of the approved HCG Diet foods.

Dr. Simeon was very specific when it comes to the portion size of the protein. The meat should exactly weight 100grams or 3.5 ounces. It must be, all the time, weigh raw on a kitchen scale. All meat regardless of the type must ONLY be 100 grams.

Non-starchy vegetables like lettuce and spinach offer about 25 calories per serving. You can have it alongside with lean meat. Tomatoes and onion, on the other hand, are high in carbs and can provide you with more calories. If you feel that your weight loss is slowing down, limit your tomatoes and onion intake. Eat your vegetable options with your protein at your two meals. Do not graze on veggies throughout the day.

  • Apple: Have a single serving of apple regardless of the size. Do not eat two apples as a substitute for one large apple.
  • Orange: One orange is one serving
  • Grapefruit: One serving is ½ of grapefruit
