HCG injections are most effective when paired with light exercises and a healthy diet that includes eating the approved HCG diet foods for lunch and dinner, light snacks, and small meals for breakfast once on P3. Unfortunately, because of our busy schedules, we often turn to quick, unhealthy fixes to fill our hunger until the next meal.
If you are doing the HCG diet, skipping your breakfast during the maintenance phase in the hopes of losing more weight is not a good idea. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It provides your body with energy that keeps you well energized and on the go during the day.
Moreover, having a good breakfast will prevent you from overeating because you will be able to control your portions. After all, you aren’t starving. However, if you are still gaining weight despite having breakfast every morning, there can be some loopholes in your breakfast that prevent you from reaching your ideal weight.
Breakfast mistake #1:
Adding sugar, creams, and flavored syrup to your coffee. Getting your day started with a cup of coffee is very important for many people. Researchers have found that coffee reduces the risk for cancer, and lowers the risk of diabetes. However, having a cup of coffee can sometimes be counterproductive to our weight loss goal. Often time we make use of too much sugar, cream, and flavored syrup, which could easily turn into fat. Try freshly brewed black coffee in small quantities with Stevia as a sweetener.
Breakfast mistake #2:
Overloading carbohydrates. Popular breakfast foods such as waffles and pancakes may seem healthy, but they are not. These foods contain preservatives, sugar, and artificial sweeteners like syrup. They are high in carbs too and they can cause a spike in your blood sugar level. For a smart breakfast choice, opt for a bowl of cereal or a whole-grain toast paired with lean meat, an egg, or low-fat yogurt. The fiber in these options can boost your digestion by improving your body’s metabolism.
Breakfast mistake #3
Indulging in breakfast goods. Breakfast pastries and muffins may seem like a perfectly healthy choice, especially if you are constantly on the go. While these baked goods are delicious and satisfying to the grumbling stomach, they are often filled with fat and sugar. Despite their convenience and ease, these packaged baked goods will not improve your health or assist you in your weight loss endeavors.
Breakfast mistake #4
Drinking preserved juices. Preserved juices, packed and canned fruit juices contain unbelievable amounts of carbs and sugar. They contain a variety of preservatives, artificial flavors, or sweeteners. Try drinking juices made from freshly squeezed fruits or better have a glass of water.
Breakfast mistake #5
Not drinking enough water. Breakfast is incomplete without coffee, but your body needs water after a long, dry night. Drinking water before breakfast will give you a healthier gut. So, always start your day with a glass of water.
