Bacteriostatic Water is a prescription medicine used to dilute or dissolve medications. Bacteriostatic Water belongs to a class of drugs called Sterile Irrigating Solutions. It may be used alone or with other medications. The difference between bacteriostatic water and sterile water is that sterile waters for injection do not contain a bacteriostatic agent. As such, they are single-dose vials and should be discarded after a single use.

Uses of Bacteriostatic Water

Bacteriostatic water has many uses besides just in the medical field, though the most common comes with the application of medicine. It is used in:

• Concentrated liquid medicines that contain multiple uses may require dilution with bacteriostatic water.
• It can be used to clean, or simply used, in equipment to prevent bacterial growth, such as a humidifier.
• Powdered medicines may be prescribed that require a solvent to be prepared for injection.

Mixing Instructions of HCG and Bacteriostatic Water for Weight Loss

Step 1:

Your HCG should be mixed in a sterile environment and don’t forget to wash your hands before mixing it. Wipe the top of the bacteriostatic water vial and the human chorionic gonadotropin vial with an alcohol pad.

Step 2:

Withdraw 5 ml of bacteriostatic water using the large mixing syringe. Inject sterilized vials containing powdered hormone with bacteriostatic water. Do not inject directly on top of the HCG powder. HCG vials have rubber tips, and a needle can easily penetrate them. Do not remove the rubber top.

Step 3:

Mix the powder HCG with the bacteriostatic water by gently swirling the vial between your palms. Do not shake the vial. You must keep the vial refrigerated at all times after the mixture is evenly mixed.

Note on Mixing HCG and Bacteriostatic Water

Dieters who use the 5000iu of HCG only should adhere to these reconstitution instructions. For the 26-day protocol, you’ll need two vials of HCG if your dose is 125iu, but if you’re following the 46-day protocol, you’ll need three vials. However, you’re not supposed to mix the second vial until the second half of your diet.

The instructions for the 2000iu are the same, but you will only add 2ml of bacteriostatic water to the HCG vial. If you’re unsure about anything, feel free to talk to our customer support representative.

The minimum dose to draw is 5 units or 125ius. HCG is absorbed consistently into fat tissue when injected with an ultra-fine needle, reducing the risk of injection into the muscle.
